) The BCS experienced minimal shake-up this week as Florida, Alabama, and Iowa all pulled out close ones. Last week's No. 10, Miami, lost to Clemson in overtime, taking them out of the playoff picture. Virginia Tech capitalized and moved into some of the larger playoffs. The Eight-Team playoffs stayed the same this week, but Boise State fell behind TCU in the race for best mid-major. Also, Boise State and Cincinnati were replaced by Iowa and USC in the Four-Team playoff, creating a traditional Rose Bowl matchup in the semifinal. Virginia, the lone ACC team with no conference losses, lost this weekend, and Georgia Tech has assumed the ACC mantle. Penn State also moved up in the larger playoffs after the Cavaliers' loss. The Modified MWC proposal has again been modified. Up to two may be added for each new iteration of this series. Each week, there will also be a poll for whichever proposal makes the most sense. The playoff with the least amount of support may not appear next week, at my discretion. Enjoy the playoffs below, given in an order considering last week's vote.
